Der Quelltext des Nintendo GameCube und neuerdings auch Wii Emulators Dolphin wurde heut unter GPL2 veröffentlicht.
SVN (Beta) Versionen werden folgen.
Weiteres könnt ihr hier erfahren.

The source code of the Nintendo GameCube and now also Wii emulator Dolphin and most of its plugins has been released under the GPL 2.0.
SVN builds will follow.
Here you will get additional information.

Quote:
We hereby release the source code of Dolphin and most of its plugins under the GPL 2.0.

You can check out the code using Subversion (we recommend TortoiseSVN), from our new repository at Google Code. .

A few new features are included:

* New OpenGL graphics plugin by zerofrog
* Basic patch/cheat system (no search yet), support for decrypted Action Replay codes
* Much faster JIT in 32-bit, slightly faster in 64-bit
* Basic Wii support (plays a couple of intro movies, starts zelda, no working wiimote)
* Some more I forgot about right now, see them as bonuses..

With the new gfx plugin, the code mostly builds and even runs a bit on Linux, but games don´t work yet. There´s now a cross platform wxWidgets GUI.

We´ll release some new official builds soon, too.

Compatibility has not increased since the last release, but speed has in many cases.

Dolphin is currently not in a super polished state, but we hope that the community can help fix that, and maybe in the long run also add more features and compatibility. If anyone has a new feature or fix and wants SVN write access, just contact us and we´ll add you to the project. Or you could just fork the whole thing, but that would probably be annoying

Have fun,

/ ector & F|RES

Na das ist ja mal erfreulich! Hoffentlich kommt dann a weng Bewegung in die Sache. Und wxWidgets - sehr cool. Neben QT mein bevorzugtes Toolkit. Aber Wii? Ok ist ja praktisch ein aufgebohrter GC, nur ...

Overview

Dolphin is a Gamecube emulator. It also has preliminary support for Wii and basic Triforce emulation (this is pending a commit, and does not run games yet).

Gamecube compatibility is about the same (or worse, due to various core changes and lack of subsequent compatibility work) as previous releases.

Wii compatibility is very low. Some games show their intro movies, that's it. There is preliminary Wiimote emulation but it does not work yet.

We haven't worked on Dolphin for a long time, except for a short burst adding the basic Wii support, and we don't think we will finish it, so we hereby release it, in its current unfinished state, to the world.
Usage Notes

The GUI should be pretty much self-explanatory.

To attempt to boot Wii ISOs, you need the disc master key. It should be called "masterkey.bin". Put it in the Wii subdirectory.

To use Action Replay codes, follow the examples in the Patches subdirectory. Use + in front of a cheat name to activate it. The cheats can be named anything.

und außerdem neu ist:
New Features

* Interprets Action Replay codes
* Buggy framerate limiter, deactivated
* Full Xbox 360 Controller support, with rumble
